Healing Through Hard Moments

When asked earlier in my life if I would write my story and allow others to read it, I laughed out loud and replied, “Maybe someday.” In the back of my mind I knew I had a plethora of stories to tell, but the process of actually sitting and writing the book…well…it lived in a one day, someday imaginary world.
Until fourteen months ago, when I began to write daily in my gratitude journal and read it to an accountability partner a week later. I poured my life out onto the page. I declared a new version of myself. I wrote about my self-development work and how the lessons showed up in real life. The act of reading my own thoughts aloud cemented the work into my brain and held me accountable for the ME I was becoming.
